If I’m being completely honest, this makeup routine probably takes me more like 7 minutes, but 5 minutes is a better title. Haha! Before becoming a mom, I used to take a lot longer to get ready, but now, I barely have enough time, so I’ve had to take some steps out of my routine (no more fancy eyeshadow) and find little tricks to make applying my makeup faster. Like using the same brushes/products for multiple uses, and applying products with my hands and then using a sponge to quickly blend it all. I hope to get my eyebrows and eyeliner tattooed on soon and that would probably take my routine down to 3 minutes because those are the most time consuming parts of my routine. But for now, this is what my makeup routine looks like 🙂

FACE:

I start by applying primer, then use my fingers to apply IT Cosmetics CC Cream (color: fair) to even out my skin tone. Since I’m a mom to 2 under 2 and don’t get much sleep, concealer is a must for me. My favorite is Tarte Shape Tape Concealer (color: fair). I apply it in a triangle under my eyes, between my eyebrows, down the bridge of my nose, and in the corners of my nose where I tend to get redness. Then I damp my Real Techniques Sponge and use it to blend in my concealer and my foundation. It evens everything out and picks up any extra product for a more natural look. I set me face with the Sigma F20 Large Powder Brush and RCMA Powder. I use the Sigma F20 Large Powder Brush again to apply my bronzer right under my cheekbones, then dab a little blush on the apples of my cheeks. To give my skin a subtle glow, I apply BECCA highlighter using the Morphe 501 Brush to the tops of my cheekbones, tip of my nose, the middle of the cupids bow on my lip, and the inner corner of my eye to help make me look more awake.

EYES + LIPS:

I keep my eyes simple and easy by using my bronzer as my eye shadow. I use the MAC 224 Blending Brush to quickly apply it in the crease of my lid. Then I apply black black liquid eyeliner to my upper lash line, and apply a coat or two of mascara to my lashes (depending on how much time I have). For my brows, I fill them in with the Maybelline Brow Precise Micro Pencil or the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. I finish off my look with MAC Viva Glam II Lipstick. It’s my go-to lip color because it goes with any outfit I wear and any season.

Soon, I plan to get my eyebrows ,and maybe even my eyeliner, tattooed on because it will make getting ready even faster 🙂

XO, Kacie
