Lately, I’ve been really getting into skincare and I’ve been loving trying new products. I started using the DERMAFLASH Facial Exfoliator, and even though I’ve only used it three times so far, it’s so good I have to share it with you 🙂 FYI: the key to this device is to actually turn it on. Sounds pretty obvious, right? But I Read More
Apply a black winged liner using the Benefit They’re Real Push-up Liner. (Tip: For an easier application, make sure you don’t twist up too much product. A little goes a long way.)
Use the NYX Liquid Crystal Liner to apply a second line above the black liner.
(It also comes in gold and several other colors)
My absolute must-have beauty product is black liner. I seriously feel naked without it. You will never see me without black liner on…unless Read More
It’s a new season (ok, so fall has been here for a while but it’s finally starting to feel like fall where I live) which means it’s time to bust out my favorite lipstick shades for fall and winter 🙂 These three colors are definitely my go-to’s (and one of them is under $4!).
~MAC Cosmetics: Viva Glam II~
This is the color I have been wearing pretty much every day lately. It’s the perfect fall neutral! It has a brown tint to it but it’s not too dark, which I love 🙂
~MAC Cosmetics: Ruby Woo~
This is my favorite lipstick to wear for the holidays. It’s so festive!
~Wet n Wild: Ferguson Crest Cabernet~
I love that this shade has some red undertones to it so it’s not like, “Whoa! That girl has some purple lips”. You know what I mean? lol. And did I mention it’s under $4?!
Some other lipstick colors that I’m wanting are MAC Velvet Teddy and a muted plum color…does that make sense? I have the color pictured in my mind but don’t know how to describe it. lol. Basically Read More
After 25 years (almost 26…did I mention my birthday is on Saturday?) of having virgin hair, I got my hair colored!…or bleached…I’m not really sure what it’s technically called. This is a really big step for me because I don’t handle change well. Pretty much all Read More
I have become so obsessed with bold brows! There’s a girl that works at the deli counter at the grocery store who has amazing brows and I compliment her on them every time I see her, and she probably thinks I’m a psycho brow stalker. Ha! But seriously, I feel like brows totally complete a makeup look. When I look back at pictures from before I would fill in my brows, I’m just so Read More

I’ve never been a big nail art person because, let’s face it, I’m not talented or skilled enough for it. Ha! I can barely paint my nails normally without getting the polish all over my entire hand. My motto when painting nails is, “it will Read More

One of the most exciting things about the town we live in now…it has an ULTA Beauty! Until now, I’d never lived in a town that has one, so this is pretty exciting stuff for me 🙂 Needless to say, I’ve made many visits to ULTA Beauty lately, and my want list is growing. Some of these items are tried and true favorites I’ve ran out of and need to purchase again, and others are Read More
There’s an old saying, the couple that whitens their teeth together, stays together…or something like that 🙂 I’ve talked about Smile Brilliant before in this post, and I finally convinced Cody that using Smile Brilliant won’t hurt his sensitive teeth. And guess what? I was right!
I’ve been using Smile Brilliant for a little over a year, and it is definitely one of my favorite teeth whitening products. Prior to Smile Brilliant, custom fitted trays were only available at the dentist office for $500+. But now thanks to Smile Brilliant, you can get professional level teeth whitening at home for Read More
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know I have my two go-to hairstyles (down with textured waves, and a low messy bun), but I actually can style my hair different ways. These are my four favorite ways to style my shoulder length hair…of course two of them you’ve seen many times before. Haha! I also like to do a top knot with face framing pieces (like in this post), but ever since I got that horrible hair cut a month ago that I absolutely hate, my hair is slightly too short to do a top knot 🙁 Anyways, I hope you like these styles!
I’m trying to play around with my hair more to come up with other styles too, so if you know of any easy hairstyles, let me know 🙂 I usually wear my hair the same two ways in my blog posts because I take all my pictures on the same day each week and just change outfits in my car, and those two hairstyles are the easiest to do in a car without a good mirror to look at.
