Some other makeup uses for Q-tips Precision Tips are filling in your eyebrows, applying glue to your false lashes, and creating a flawless bold lip. (Check out Q-tips’ Pinterest board for more ideas) These are a must have in every makeup bag! If you don’t already have some, you need to get your butt to the store and get them! They are only like $3.29 for a 170-count pack. What?! I know! super affordable, right?!
So the other week, Cody and I had to go out of town and I packed my things last minute and wouldn’t you know it, I forgot all my makeup brushes! (I also forgot to pack underwear but that’s a whole other story.) Luckily, I always keep Q-tips Precision Tips in my makeup bag because they’re perfect for fixing makeup mistakes, like when I stab my eye with mascara and black mascara gets all over my face. But you guys, they do so much more than fix mistakes! They’re the ultimate beauty tool, with tapered ends specially designed for precise application and touch-ups for nails, eyes, lips and more! I used Q-tips Precision Tips to apply my eye makeup the entire weekend and even though I’m now back at home with my makeup brushes, I still find myself reaching for my Q-tips Precision Tips to apply my eye makeup. They’re just so gentle and soft to use on delicate areas of the face, like eyes, and they’re disposable so I never have to worry about cleaning them which makes them so convenient.
I have been watching all the red carpet shows lately and have been loving the soft neutral/natural smokey eye I’ve been seeing, so I decided to recreate the look using my favorite neutral eyeshadow palette and Q-tips Precision Tips. Below are the steps to how I achieved this look.
1. Apply the darkest eyeshadow shade to the outer corners of your eye using Q-tips Precision Tips.
2. Use the Q-tips Precision Tips to apply the medium shade in your crease, blending it with the darker shade you applied to the outer corner.
3. Mix the medium and darkest shade onto your Q-tips Precision Tips and apply it to the lower lash line and water line. The tapered ends make it especially easy to apply the eyeshadow to such a precise area. Make sure to blend the shadow on the lower lash line really well in order to soften the look.
4. Angle your Q-tips Precision Tips from the outer corner of your eye to the outer corner of your eyebrow to create a guide for applying your eyeliner. This allows you to extend your liner beyond your lash line in the most flattering angle. Top it off with mascara and you’re done!
