Fun fact about me: I’ve been riding four-wheelers since I was 2 and my nickname growing up was Racy Kacie because I liked to go fast. Which led to me wrecking a bunch (I stopped counting at wreck 23. Ha!) We started going to the Oregon sand dunes when I was around 4 and we’ve come here three time a year every year since.  We usually either go to the Coos Bay/North Bend area or to Florence. It’s so fun to see our family camping tradition continue with our kids now…well, with my sisters kids for now and my baby will have her first Oregon dunes trip in November 🙂 My niece Stevie is obsessed with motorcycles, or “vroom vrooms” as she called them. She has her own that her dad rides her around on in the campground, and she screams and cry’s whenever the ride is over. She could seriously ride that thing in circles for hours and be totally happy. Since I couldn’t ride my four-wheeler this trip and my sister didn’t want to leave her kids to go riding a lot, we spent most of our time hanging around camp and going on walks with the kids and dogs. It was actually kind of perfect 🙂

We always venture out of camp a couple times on our trip to explore the town. This time we went to the sea lion caves. It was too dark in the caves to take pictures but it’s really cool and definitely worth checking out.

Also, did you guys notice the Happy Camper (and Grumpy Camper for my dad) shirts we’re all wearing? I made them! Well, I bought my nephew’s outfit, but I made the rest while we were camping. It’s super easy so I’m thinking about doing a tutorial post for you guys 🙂

XO, Kacie
