I’ve been asked quite often what our daily schedule is. I am a very routine person and always have been, so Hazel and I kind of naturally fell into a daily routine. Of course our routine has changed a bit as she’s gotten older, so I’ve had to learn to be flexible in my routine and listen to her queue’s. For now, this is what our typical day looks like 🙂

6:00am- I wake up and usually lay in bed, scrolling through my phone as I slowly wake up.

6:30am- Workout. I do the elliptical for 20 minutes and do an ab workout.

7:00am- Hazel wakes up and I’m usually finishing up my workout and then I start doing my hair and makeup . Hazel wakes up happy but she’s pretty slow to wake up. She lays in her crib, with her stuffed bunny’s ear in her mouth, and makes a “gully” noise for close to 30 minutes before she finally sits or stands up. That’s when I know she’s ready for me to come get her.

7:30am- Get Hazel out of her crib, change her diaper, and get her dressed for the day. Then, Hazel and I head downstairs. We feed the dogs, play a little, and Hazel eats a snack (I put her snacks in this container).

8:00am- Moring walk around the neighborhood. Hazel takes her snack container in the stroller with her. Our neighborhood has a lot of hills so it’s a good workout for me and it usually takes 30-45 minutes depending on how many neighbors stop us to visit along the way.

8:45am- Breakfast and play. We eat breakfast together, then I clean up from breakfast and Hazel plays in the kitchen which basically means she pulls all of the tupperware out of the cupboards. Once I’m done washing dishes, we play together.

10:00am to 12:00am- Hazel naps. We do her nap time routine, which includes a bottle and some songs. She’s still awake when I lay her in her crib but falls asleep within 10 minutes. While she naps, I get dressed in regular clothes for the day, then do work on the computer and/or work around the house.

12:00pm (some days she’ll sleep until 1:00pm)- Hazel wakes up. I wait a bit before going into her room to give her a chance to wake up more.

12:30pm- Lunch and play. We eat lunch together, then I clean up from lunch, and then we play. If I need to run errands, this is when I do that.

3:00pm to 5:00pm (if she slept a 3 hour nap in the morning, then she naps from 4:00-5:00)- Hazel naps. We do our same nap time routine. Again, I do work on the computer and/or around the house.

5:00pm- Cody gets home from work (except on days that he workout out after work…on those days, he doesn’t get home until 6:00) and Hazel wakes up from her nap. She always so excited to see her daddy and get to play with him.

6:00/6:30pm- Dinner and more play time. We always eat dinner as a family. After cleaning up from dinner, we play some more and sometimes go on a walk around the neighborhood.

7:15/7:30pm- We head up stairs to start our bedtime routine (I’ll go into more detail on what that looks like in an upcoming post).

8:00pm- Hazel is in her crib for the night, and I get to shower and then relax which Cody 🙂

10:00pm- Cody and I go to bed.

On Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s, Hazel and I usually got to the library for their nursery rhyme and play time from 10:30-11:30/12:00. On those days, Hazel either takes a short morning nap and skips her morning nap altogether. When we get home from it, she has lunch and then takes an extra long afternoon nap.

XO, Kacie
