Let me introduce you to my new favorite necklace. I got this necklace about a week ago and can’t quit wearing it. I love it! I think a pop of neon yellow adds a fun touch to just about any outfit.

Also, this might be my favorite blazer. The only reason  I say “might” is because I’m also really loving this blue blazer too and of course the lace blazer I featured in my last post. Basically, all blazers are my favorite. You really can’t have too many blazers. It’s just not possible.

When I saw Olivia Palermo in her lace blazer, I fell in love! (Of course, when do I not love her outfits). So when I saw the lace blazer I’m wearing, I knew I had to get it for my store. This blazer is lightweight and perfect for spring and summer. Plus, the color goes with everything. I have so many outfits planned for it.

Dress Turned Skirt

Remember in this post how I told you I don’t like to wear dresses? I wasn’t kidding. I couldn’t even stand to wear a maxi dress! I got this maxi dress a couple years ago and had only worn it a few times. So I decided to cut it up and make it into the maxi skirt I am wearing today. And when I say I made it into a skirt, I really mean I took it to a seamstress and had her do it. I’m just not talented enough to do it myself. I really like it as a skirt! What do you think of the maxi dress turned skirt?

Shh, Don’t Tell My Doctor & Liebster Award

Shhhh! Don’t tell my podiatrist that I’m wearing flats. I have had problems with my feet my whole life gaining me many trips to the podiatrist and orthotics to wear in my tennis shoes. On my most recent visit to the doctor, I was told me feet were so bad he couldn’t bare to see me walk. Harsh, right? I knew my feet were in pain but I didn’t realize I was that bad. Sure,  I hadn’t seen my podiatrist in five years and had been wearing flats more than usual which don’t fit my orthotics but does it really matter that much? Apparently, it does. My feet took a turn for the worse. I was diagnosed with posterior tibial tendonitis and was told I will have to have surgery later in life. He said in order to delay surgery as a long as possible, I must take care of my feet. Which means no more flats. I have to wear tennis shoes with my orthotics or (and here comes the good news) HEELS! Yay! Finally doctor permission to wear heels! At least it wasn’t all bad!

P.S. I received the Liebster Award from the lovely Ashley at A Decorative Piece of Citrus Zest  I am so excited that someone liked my blog enough to give me this award! Thanks Ashley!

For those of you who don’t know, this award goes to new blogs with less than 200 followers. The German word “Liebster” translates in English to “beloved” or “favorite” (thanks Ashley for that info). Time to spread the love:
