I feel like this pregnancy has gone by so much faster than my first. Probably because I have a 1 year old to chase around and keep me busy this time. Hazel has been so cute! Every night before bed, she lifts up my shirt and gives my belly a hug and a kiss. And then she puts her bunny (it’s her favorite that she sleeps with every night) up to my belly like she’s sharing it with Baby Sister. It will be so fun to watch these two grow up together!

How Far Along: 25 Weeks

Size of Baby: About the size of a cabbage

Total Weight Gained: 10 lbs…I think it would have been more but being sick for a week and not being able to eat much made me lose some weight.

Wearing Maternity Clothes?: Yes. I’ve been in maternity jeans for a while (even when I could fit into my regular jeans) because they’re so comfortable. But I can still wear non-maternity tops and dresses.

Stretch Marks?: Nope 🙂 I didn’t get stretch marks with Hazel so I’m hoping I don’t get them this time either.

Symptoms: I feel like I have to pee all the time! I don’t actually have to pee as often as I feel like I do, but the baby must be hanging out on my bladder because I have the feeling of needing to pee 24/7. The hard part is knowing if I actually have to pee or if I just feel like I have to pee. I’ll admit, there’s been a few times where I’ve thought it was just the feeling of peeing when it was actually the need to pee, and I almost peed my pants. Haha!

Movement: Yes! I started feeling some movement at 17 weeks and it’s just been getting stronger and more often as she grows. Feeling the baby move is my absolute favorite part of pregnancy. It was something I really missed after having Hazel, so I’m trying to cherish every single movement I feel this time.

Sleep: I’ve been sleeping pretty good. It’s most comfortable to sleep on my left side and I get up to pee once or twice at night.

Food Cravings: Chocolate! They say with girls, you crave sweets, and that’s been true for me with both pregnancies, but it’s been different kinds of sweets. With Hazel, I wanted fruit and fruity popsicle, and chocolate didn’t sound good to me. But with this pregnancy, I can’t resist a chocolatey treat.

Gender: Girl (see our smoke bomb gender reveal here)

XO, Kacie
