SHOP THE POST

A couple weeks ago my mom and I went on a mother-daughter trip to San Diego and it was so much fun! Two of my cousins live there, so we stayed with them and they showed us around. We visited the zoo, had a beach day, went on a hike, ate super yummy food (Farmer’s Bottega had an amazing brunch menu!), and watched a movie in the park. When we were at the ocean, we saw three dolphins in the water! And then literally 5 second after we spotted them, I got sand in my eye and couldn’t see anything. All I could hear was my mom and cousin screaming with excitement as they watched the dolphins jump and play in the water. My mom kept telling me to look even though she knew I was being blinded by sand. At one point she tried pouring water in my eye, but she was watching the dolphins instead of paying attention to where she was pouring, so she poured water all over my face. Haha! And then she told me to just put on sunglasses like somehow that would magically make me be able to open my eyes. My mom loves dolphins so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised she chose watching the dolphins over helping her own daughter see again. lol. But seriously, we had the best time! It’s a trip I’ll cherish forever 🙂 And I have to give a big thanks to my cousin Jake and Abbie for showing us a great time! Check out the little video of our trip above or here

P.S. If you live in San Diego, you can see my cousin Abbie on the Channel 8 news. She’s usually on at 11:00, but occasionally appears on the 6:30 news cast.

XO, Kacie
