Swimsuit season is officially here, and you guys, I have found my perfect swimsuit! I think we can all agree that swimsuits are probably the most difficult item to shop for. No matter your size, we all have insecurities about our bodies (except for maybe Sofia Vergara…girl’s got it going on!). It is so important to find a swimsuit that fits your body type so you can feel confident to hit the beach/pool this season. For me, it’s all about creating the illusion of curves. Like I’ve said before, I have the body of a 9-year-old boy, so I always look for something that will make me look more like a woman. When I tried on this flouncy crochet swimsuit (first seen in this post), I knew it would be my suit of the season. The top has some volume to it which really helps to add curves to my figure. I am so in love with the style of this suit and the way it makes me feel! And when you love something this much, you can’t limit it to only being seen at the beach/pool. Nope! You’ve got to rock it on the streets too!

I feel like I’ve pretty much been practicing my entire life to master the art of “ways to wear a swimsuit”. I grew up with a pool in my backyard and basically lived in it all summer. Of course, my mom would force my sister and me to get out of the pool to go into town with her, so we’d always throw on clothes with our swimsuits. There was no way we were going to take our suits off because we wanted to be ready to jump back in the pool the second we got home. I think we even have pictures of 7-year-old me in overalls and a swimsuit. Haha! I guess my style hasn’t changed that much. Below are my tips for how to wear a swimsuit for each occasion:

1. Running Errands: It’s all about easy dressing. I love these embellished sandals because they’re as easy to slip on as flip-flops, but they look so much more stylish.

2. Brunch with the Girls: Pair your swimsuit with your favorite bottoms and a denim jacket for the perfect brunch outfit.

3. Date Night: Add statement pieces like a bright skirt and clutch to take your swimsuit to the next level.

Are you ready for swimsuit season? #TargetStyle has so many swimsuits for every body type. Find the right one for you, and share how you are rocking your perfect suit this season. I’d love to see it!
