Valentines Day Times Two

February 12, 2014

Meet Shanna from Because Shanna Said So. She is my Valentine this year (sorry hubby). Today we’ve teamed up to show you two Valentines outfits. For glam date night or work/daytime appropriate, just add red or pink or hearts and you are Valentines ready. Be sure to check out Shanna’s blog. She has a fun style and is so relateable. You’ll love her.

Growing up I kind of had the worst yet best Valentines tradition ever. It was the worst because every year I would get sick. And I do mean every year. Who wants to be sick on Valentines Day? Not this gal. I even missed a trip to the roller skating rink one year (although my sweet sister did bring me back souvenirs). But it was also the best being sick on Valentines Day because my mom and I had a special tradition every year. My mom is a teacher and would stay home from work to take care of me, which means we both missed the Valentines celebration at school. But not to worry, come Valentines afternoon one of the teachers would drop off both of our Valentines cards and treats. My mom and I would lay on the living room floor reading our cards and eating our treats. It’s the perfect Valentines Day if you ask me.
Luckily, I’ve outgrown the Valentines sickness that plagued me as a child but I wouldn’t mind a few more Valentines on the floor with my mom. I think Shanna and the hubby are both getting the boot this year. Instead, Mom, will you be my Valentine?
