Cody and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary (and 10 years together) over the weekend, and each year for our anniversary we go to Capitola, CA (it’s right next to Santa Cruz). And guess what just so happens to be on the same weekend as our anniversary? The annual Capitola Car Show. Cody’s hobby is fixing up old cars so this is like his dream vacation. Of course when I look at them, all I see is pretty colors. Haha! My favorite car was by far the sand car. Isn’t that thing so cool?! Someone has some magical sand fairy skills because that thing is awesome! My idea of a good sandcastle is a pile of sand with a stick in the top, so I was totally amazed by the sand car.

The car show is in Capitola village, right along the beach so after we look at the cars, we spend the rest of time checking out the cute shops and hanging out on the beach. Each year we say we’re going to try to surf or paddle board and then we get too afraid of sharks. A couple years ago, someone actually got attacked by a shark the day after we left so that just completely validated our fear (ok, it’s more my fear than Cody’s). But maybe next time we’ll actually paddle board…maybe.

It was such a fun trip with my favorite dude and I can’t wait to go back! πŸ™‚

P.S. Some of these photos were taken with my phone so the quality isn’t as good as normal.

XO, Kacie
