It has definitely been more challenging to eat healthy during this pregnancy than my last. When I was pregnant with Hazel, I craved apples. This time, I crave chocolate and candy. But I’m making a conscious effort to reach for healthier snacks instead of giving into my cravings. And hopefully by eating healthier now, it will make it easier to loose the baby weight postpartum.

-Cucumbers with Laughing Cow Cheese // I peal and cut the cucumber before hand and keep it in a container in the fridge so that when it’s snack time, I can quickly prepare this snack. One cheese wedge is enough for about 7 cucumber slices.

-Dried Fruit // Dried mangos and pineapple are my favorites. Make sure no sugars or anythings is added to the fruit. It’s a healthier way to satisfy a candy craving.

-Healthy Cookie (recipe here) // If you’re carving chocolate, make these! They have lots of healthy ingredients in them like oatmeal, flaxseed, etc. They’re also great to eat after pregnancy to help boost your milk supply.

-Plantain Chips with Guacamole // I discovered this snack while doing Whole30 last year. If you’re craving salty foods, this is the snack for you.

-Nuts with Raisins or Cranberries // This is a great snack to throw in your purse for days when you’re on the go.

– Greek Yogurt with Berries & Cashew Butter // Sometimes I add granola and have this for breakfast too.

-Veggies with Hummus // I’m not a big veggie lover so my favorite veggies to eat with it are carrots, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes…which technically cucumbers and tomatoes are a fruit, but let’s just call them veggies 😉

-Avocado Toast // You can top your avocado toast with parmesan or feta cheese, balsamic vinegar, spices, or whatever you want. Spicy foods don’t bother me so I like mine with red pepper flakes.

-Apples with Cashew Butter // Tastes great with peanut butter or almond butter, but cashew butter in my favorite.

-Celery with Peanut Butter // A classic combo  that never gets old. The protein in the peanut butter really helps to make you feel full/curb your appetite too.
