Dresses

By | Daisy Rae | 58 Comments

Look at me, wearing a dress in two posts back to back. It looks like this self-proclaimed dress hater is becoming a dress liker. Dare I say I’m even beginning to fall in love with dresses?! Dresses are just so easy. Why didn’t anyone tell me this before? Ok, people have been telling me that so why didn’t I listen? The tomboy in me has hated dresses since I was a little kid but finally the blogging world has convinced my inner tomboy that dresses are pretty awesome. I am officially a dress liker. That’s one step away from a dress hater and one step closer to a dress lover. I thank you blogging world for opening my heart and my closet to dresses.

Stripes and Brights

It’s a miracle! My hair is long again! I bet you didn’t know my hair grew this fast. But it does. Ok, that was a lie. It does not. These pictures were taken two days before I got my hair cut. But don’t lie, I had you fooled there for a minute, didn’t I?

My New Do

By | Daisy Rae | 77 Comments

I chopped my hair off!!! I had short hair all through high school and for a couple years after. When I grew it out long, I always knew I would end up cutting it again someday. Well, today is someday. Actually, last Thursday was someday. Today is just the first day my new do is on the blog.

Red, White and Blue

By | Daisy Rae | 41 Comments

I have been so busy moving that the 4th of July has completely sneaked up on me. I don’t even have a festive outfit to share with you all.  You don’t have to say it, I already know I’m slacking on my fashion blogger duties. But if you look real close, this outfit is totally festive. Red? I have red lips. White? I’m so pale, I count as white. Blue? I’ve got my blue jeans on. I guess I’m more on top of things than I thought I was. Or at least that’s what I’ll tell myself.

I hope everyone enjoys the 4th of July! Happy Independence Day!

Summer Bestie

By | Daisy Rae | 54 Comments

This top is so light and airy and I love it! In the summer, light and airy is my friend. My very best friend. She keeps me cool and she keeps me stylish. She’s neutral so gets along great with all the other colors in my closet. She’s just great all around. I mean, what more can you ask for out of a best friend?
P.S. Today I’m guest posting over at Sisters in the City. These two girls have great style and an amazing blog! You will definitely want to be a follower of their blog.

Side-by-Side Challenge: Neon

By | Daisy Rae | 26 Comments

I am so excited to team up with these lovely ladies to show you how to wear neon. Whether it’s a bold dress or just a touch of neon, this is a trend anyone can wear.

When the neon trend came back in style, I was not a fan. I mean, it’s a trend from the 80’s and we all know how I feel about the 80’s. It was like people just walked into their closet and an explosion of neon went off. Neon clothes, neon makeup, neon hair accessories. They wore it all. And they wore it all at once. People came out looking like a neon rainbow. And a neon rainbow is not a style this gal wants to wear. But then I started seeing the modern take on neon and loved it. Full blown neon, no thank you. A pop of neon, yes please 🙂

Gone Wild

By | Daisy Rae | 61 Comments

You guys, I have gone wild and crazy. Living life by the seat of my pants-or skirt in today’s case. The first wild and crazy thing I did was order a lemon drop with our anniversary dinner when we were on our mini vacation. I am not a drinker and it was apparent because after drinking only half the drink, I was feeling a little a lot dizzy. Then, if that wasn’t wild and crazy enough, I got a tattoo! I don’t know what’s come over me. The hubby and I had talked about getting matching tattoos but I was always so nervous and unsure if I wanted something on me forever. But then I woke up and said Let’s Do It! Five minutes after I got the tattoo, I had a breakdown, began to cry and started looking up tattoo removal. Living wild and crazy is tough on a gal. It’s been a few days since I got the tattoo and I really do love it. I just had to get over the initial shock. Now, I wonder where my recently discovered wild and crazy side will take me next.
I feel like I should clarify that I was not hopped up on half a lemon drop when I got my tattoo. It was days later and with a clear mind when I made that wild and crazy decision.

Arm Party

By | Daisy Rae | 45 Comments

I have always loved the arm party trend but never really tried it out myself until I received the crystal brulee bracelet from YuniKelley. This bracelet is the life of the arm party. Although, I’m not sure if three bracelets counts as an arm part. Maybe it’s more of an arm get together.

Bikes and Dots

By | Daisy Rae | 70 Comments

Every time I wear this bicycle print top, I have the urge to go on a bicycle ride. It’s like I put on the top and suddenly I turn into Lance Armstrong. That is if Lance Armstrong rode a mint green cruiser bike. And minus the whole steroid cheating scandal. My bike riding skills are all natural.

LWD

By | Daisy Rae | 67 Comments

Today marks five years since I married the most wonderful man ever! I thought I’d wear a little white dress today just like I did on our wedding day. Of course, I didn’t wear a jean vest and pops of neon for my wedding but I thought if I wore my actual wedding dress, the people at Target would think I’m weird for shopping in my wedding dress …or they’d think I was a runaway bride. And I am definitely not a runaway bride…but I may be a little weird. But all the best people are. That’s a quote from Alice in Wonderland, right? That movie always freaked me out. Anyways, back to what I was saying. Happy Anniversary Hubby!
P.S. I’m participating in the ChicTrends Contest. The chic trends I’m sporting today are a denim vest, a little white dress, pink pout, and ankle straps.
