This time of year, I’m all about wearing layers that I can peal off throughout the day. The days start our freezing, and by freezing I mean 45 degrees (I don’t know how you peeps live in the below freezing temps…I’m pretty sure you are the toughest people on earth) and then by the afternoon it’s in the 70’s. I need you guys to settle a debate for me. Cody says my favorite black jeans are actually now blue, but I say they still look black. What do you think? I asked my two best friends and they side with Cody. Sadly, I had to inform them that they are all colorblind because these pants are so obviously black…or so I thought. Now that I look at them closely in the sun, I think they have faded to blue but I’m in denial about it 🙁 I’ve had these jeans for over three years and I wear them almost 24/7 so I guess it makes since that they’d fade, but it Read More
Are you shocked I’m wearing these jeans again? Yeah, me neither.
So I have to give a shout out to the person who is probably the youngest reader of Kacie’s Kloset/soon-to-be Elements of Ellis, and that person is my handsome 8-year-old nephew, Jake. Hi Jake! Love you! Two weekends ago, Cody and I got to have our two nephews, Jake and Ty, come stay with us for a few days while their parents went to Tahoe, and we had the best time! It rained a little but we didn’t let that stop us from having fun. We went on walks, played tag, went to the park, spent a day at the zoo-which is when I wore this outfit, and built forts in the living room. Jake also lectured me on why Read More
Changes are a coming to this here blog. I’ve decided to change my blog name (the content of the blog will stay the same) and switch over to WordPress while I’m at it. Eek! 🙂 I’m changing the name for two main reasons… 1. Kacie’s Kloset is kind of difficult to spell which makes my blog hard to find when people search for it. Everyone spells my name wrong…that includes family members. Even when I spell it out for people, they still get it wrong. One time, I spelled out every letter of my name for a lady and she spelled it ‘Cassie’. lol. 2. I feel like Kacie’s Kloset is too Read More

I am becoming so obsessed with my classic closet staples. I mean, it’s obvious I’ve been obsessed with my black ripped knee jeans. I can’t stop wearing them! It’s becoming a serious addiction, people. You know how when little kids have a favorite blanket that needs to be washed, and they throw a fit and cry because they don’t want to give it up for the hour it takes to wash it? Well, that’s how I feel about my jeans. But I’m also super obsessed with Read More
This is the first cashmere sweater I’ve ever owned and in case you didn’t already know, cashmere sweaters really are amazing! It’s just so soft and makes me want to cuddle with it all day…but instead, I wore it on my body like a normal person because cuddling sweaters in public is weird. This cashmere sweater comes in like a million different colors (fyi: one million is the new 9) and it’s on sale for under $40! I’m so tempted to buy another color but I’m the worst decision maker in the world and can’t decide which color. Which color would you get? Read More
I wore this outfit to a dinner in San Fransisco with Mode Media and a group of Bay Area bloggers. The jacket arrived in the mail the day of the dinner, right when I was in the middle of an “I have nothing to wear” melt down, so I took it as a sign from the Fashion Gods that this is what I should wear 🙂 It was such a fun dinner, and I was so happy they invited me (especially since I’m not from the Bay Area). I’m always scared when I have to venture into the “big city” but it was worth it. Of course, I didn’t explore the city at all because the city terrifies me. I went straight to the dinner (which was at my hotel) and then straight home. But I still found some unwanted adventure along the way…Remember me telling you how last time I was in SF, a homeless man started knocking on my car window? Well this time the police Read More
So apparently I love neutral colored shoes. I didn’t really realize it until I put this post together. Ha! Some would say I need to add a little color to my shoe collection but to quote Selena Gomez, “the heart wants what it wa-a-a-a-a-nts” and my heart wants neutral shoes. Oh and I also want Read More
When I bought this light blue moto jacket last week (for $25!), I had planned on wearing it with black (which should come as no surprise since black is my favorite color to wear) to make it look more winter-y. But you guys, the weather has been so nice here lately! It’s been Spring-like weather and it’s been amazing! When it feels like Spring, you dress like Spring so Read More
