P.S. I haven’t forgotten that I promised a Daisy Rae giveaway for reaching 100 followers. That will be coming soon 🙂
You might remember from this post that I don’t like wearing dresses. But today, I went a little crazy and decided to wear a dress. Although, I think most people thought I was crazy not for wearing a dress but for wearing a scarf in 98 degree weather. I don’t think they understood the importance the scarf played in pulling the outfit together.
P.S. My mom came to visit me for a few days! Yay!!!
For our anniversary weekend, the hubby and I headed to Capitola/Santa Cruz. The weather was perfect and we had a great time! We got there Friday morning and walked around downtown Capitola and relaxed on the beach. On Saturday, Capitola had their annual car show so the hubby had fun drooling over all the cars he wants. Overall it was a great anniversary weekend 🙂
P.S. My camera battery died so we took these photos on my phone.

The Story of the Mint Jeans:
April 8th: I happily welcomed them into my closet. They were an Easter present from the hubby.
April 24th: They made there first appearance on the blog here
May 8th: Featured in my Pretty Little Look-A-Like post here
May 28th: Disaster Struck!!! I wore them to a Memorial Day BBQ and accidentally got a little bbq sauce from the ribs on them (I should have known better than to eat ribs in cute clothes). My sister had a tide-to-go pen so I treated the stain with that and washed them when I got home. As I pulled my jeans out of the wash I noticed that the laundry detergent stained them! There were streaks all over the jeans. I tried running them through the washer again (this time without detergent) and the stain was still there 🙁
May 29th: Researched on the internet and found that you can soak clothes in vinegar to get laundry detergent stains out. This did not work :,-(
May 30th: Bought mint dye and tried dying them to even out the color. This worked to even out the color from the laundry detergent stain but the stain from the bbq sauce was still there. At this point, I can’t wear them how they are so the hubby and I decide to bleach them to see if the stain would come out. That turned the pants a lime green color and the stain was still there. The mint jeans put up a good fight but sadly they weren’t going to pull through. So I decided to cut them off just above the stain to make them into shorts. Now my mint jeans are lime green shorts. At least I can still wear them. I will post a picture of them soon so you can see the transformation/ journey of the mint jeans.
May 31st: The hunt for a new pair of mint skinny jeans begins. Wish me luck!
Shhhh! Don’t tell my podiatrist that I’m wearing flats. I have had problems with my feet my whole life gaining me many trips to the podiatrist and orthotics to wear in my tennis shoes. On my most recent visit to the doctor, I was told me feet were so bad he couldn’t bare to see me walk. Harsh, right? I knew my feet were in pain but I didn’t realize I was that bad. Sure, I hadn’t seen my podiatrist in five years and had been wearing flats more than usual which don’t fit my orthotics but does it really matter that much? Apparently, it does. My feet took a turn for the worse. I was diagnosed with posterior tibial tendonitis and was told I will have to have surgery later in life. He said in order to delay surgery as a long as possible, I must take care of my feet. Which means no more flats. I have to wear tennis shoes with my orthotics or (and here comes the good news) HEELS! Yay! Finally doctor permission to wear heels! At least it wasn’t all bad!
P.S. I received the Liebster Award from the lovely Ashley at A Decorative Piece of Citrus Zest I am so excited that someone liked my blog enough to give me this award! Thanks Ashley!

|We had the best time celebrating for my sister’s bachelorette party!|
This past weekend my four best friends and I went to Catalina Island to celebrate my sister, Jamie’s, upcoming wedding! We have all been friends since I was in first grade (Jamie, Cori and Elizabeth were in 2nd and Liz, our cousin, was in kindergarten). We made some wonderful memories that none of us will ever forget.
I think everyone’s favorite part was parasailing. It was a blast! Our least favorite part…our plane home being delayed for two hours. But what can you do? You can sleep in the airport for two hours, which is exactly what we did.
I had the best time ever with my favorite people! Love you gals!
