Honey Beauty Products:

Have you ever wondered how people come up with all these weird at home, diy beauty remedies? Like who looks in their kitchen and thinks what should I rub all over my face today? Oh an avocado…or baking soda…or honey. Um, when I look in my kitchen all I think about it what’s going in my belly. My sister and I were talking about this and she said that for some reason she’s been having the urge to put honey on zits. So apparently that’s how people come up with these crazy at home remedies. lol.

I decided to put my sister’s idea to the test by dabbing some honey on my zits and you guys, honey is amazing! It totally helped to clear up my skin more quickly. I started brainstorming what else I could do with honey…I love my lemon-sugar face scrub so I thought why not try mixing lemon and honey and rubbing it all over my face? And you guys, it’s amazing! My sister and I are geniuses! We have discovered this amazing new natural beauty remedy. Or so I thought…I looked it up and using honey on your skin is totally already a thing. Maybe my sister and I aren’t as smart as I thought. Haha! Anyways, you guys should definitely give this face mask a try. Thanks to my research on the internet, I’ve discovered that honey is an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, which helps impurities, while the lemon brightens.

Lemon-Honey Face Mask:

-Mix the juice from 1/2 a lemon with about 2 tbsp of honey

-Apply the mask all over your clean face

-Let set for 15-30 minutes (I always leave my on for a long time) and then rinse off

Do you have any at home remedies you swear by? I’d love to try them out 🙂

XO, Kacie

This looks awesome! I’ve heard that honey is so good for your skin!

  • Shae says:

I do a similar mask, although with our dry weather I haven’t done it in awhile because the lemon stings my face. I should give your ratio a try!

Ouch! That sounds like it would hurt. If this mask still stings your face, try just dabbing honey on your problem areas. I use it as a spot treatment on my zits 🙂

My favourite face mask is mixing turmeric and aloe vera gel in yogurt and mixing well to make a paste. Then apply it on your face and leave it till dry. I like to wash my face with milk to remove the mask as its difficulty to remove with water. The turmeric is very effective in brightening and aloe has antimicrobial and moisturizing properties while yogurt helps to cool down the skin. U can also add chick pea flour if you want a scrubbing action as well.
