ITEMS NEEDED

White Dish Towels (I used flour sack dish towels)

Flowers

Hammer

Iron

These flower stained dish towels turned out so beautiful, and would make the perfect Mother’s Day gift. They’re fun for both adults and kids to make. The girls helped make these…they picked the flowers, placed them on the towels, and hammered away (although, they did need my help because they started to get tired). Below is the step-by-step tutorial.

Step 1: Lay one dish towel on the ground and place the fresh flowers on top.

Step 2 (optional): Layer a second towel over the flowers. We did this so that we got two towels in one.

Step 3: Use a hammer to smash the flowers, allowing the colors to leak onto the towel.

Step 4: Hang the towels to dry.

Step 5: Once dry, pick the remaining flower pieces off of the towel.

Step 6: Iron the towels to help set the colors.

XO, Kacie
