DIY WOODEN BEADED CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT

ITEMS NEEDED

Wooden Beads

Wire

Needle Nose Pliers

Twine

Each year, the girls and I make Christmas ornaments. With my girls only being 3 years old and 18 months old, we need to make ornaments that are age appropriate for their skill level. I found these wooden beads and knew they’d be perfect for this years ornament. Both girls were able to help string the beads on the wire, and I formed them into circles and tied them off.

DIY WOODEN BEADED CIRCLE ORNAMENT

Step 1: Cut wire to your desired length (the pliers have a wire cutter in them) and use needle nose pliers to bend one end so that it has a hook shape.

Step 2: String the beads onto the wire.

Step 3: Bend the wire into a circle.

Step 4: Thread the straight end of the wire into the hooked end and wrap any excess wire around the hook to secure it.

Step 5: Add some twin to cover the wire and create a loop to hang it from the tree.

I also used the beads, wine, and wire to make a drop style ornament (as pictured above).
