You guy’s, Father’s Day totally snuck up on me this year. My friend is getting married on Saturday and I’m in the wedding, so my mind has been on that and I completely forgot that Father’s Day is on Sunday (shhh! Don’t tell my dad!) Now, I’m frantically trying to figure out what to get him. He was a banker for 30 years so our go-to present was always a neck tie. Now that he’s not in banking, it’s a lot harder to think of what to buy him. Haha! It doesn’t help that whenever he wants something, he buys it for himself without giving any of us a chance to buy it for him as a gift. But we still love him even though he’s difficult to shop for 🙂
Honestly, my dad is so amazing and I am so thankful that he’s my dad. Even though he never changed one diaper on me as a baby because he has the weakest stomach ever and would throw up, he’s always been there for me. I’ve called him so many times crying and he always makes me feel better. He’s the guy I always talk to before I make any big decisions, he has taught me everything I know about money management, he taught me to ride four-wheelers, he threw me off his shoulder into the swimming pool more times than I’m sure he cared to, he attempted to braid my hair when my mom was out of town for work (it ended in a big tangled knot), and most importantly, he showed my sister and I how a man should treat a women. I see so many of my dads characteristics in Cody and it makes me so happy that I was able to find a man as amazing as my dad. Happy Father’s Day to my dad and all the other awesome dad’s out there.
