“Play is a child’s work”. It’s one of my most favorite quotes and the belief of most early childhood educators. Play promotes fine and gross motor skills, language, socialization, personal awareness, emotional well-being, creativity, problem solving, and learning. It also develops curiosity and a sense of wonder within our children, which will make them more eager and excited to learn as they grow. Curiosity is essential for success. That is exactly why we love the Go2Guide: Raising a Curious Baby collection from Kids2 featuring Baby Einstein toys.

For 20+ years, Baby Einstein has been creating toys with the belief that the future belongs to the curious. Everything they do helps parents cultivate curiosity within their children (and even with themselves too…I, honestly, have been so entertained by the activity cube. Ha!) All Baby Einstein toys are designed to develop curiosity through discovery, creativity, and play.

Our Baby Einstein toys have been some of our favorites for our girl when Hazel was a baby and now with Iris too.

Innovation Station Activity Cube: The activity cube is my favorite activity cube I’ve seen on the market. It has these really neat floating beads on the top, and one side has a gravity-defying ball race which is really fun to get to play with with the girls. Plus it has sliders, gears and more. And I like that it has a mix of both bold colors, and the black and white contrast which is great for baby’s brain development. It’s perfect for developing a scenes of curiosity in a baby. It’s even peaked my curiosity too. Seriously, I could play with that gravity-defying ball race for hours, but I have to be a good mom and set the example of sharing. Haha!

Neighborhood Symphony Activity Jumper: The activity jumper has been a family favorite too because, as you can tell by that smile, Iris loves jumping in it. She’s our little music lover, so she gets in that thing, plays the music on the drums, and starts bouncing to the rhythm. It’s also my favorite because it’s a great place for me to put her when I’m in the kitchen cooking, washing dishes, or emptying the dishwasher. I put her in it and can still interact with her, but don’t have to worry about her grabbing the kitchen knives out of the dishwasher. Ha! There are a lot of toys on it to keep her entertained and keep that curiosity alive, especially when I talk to her about the toys, sounds, and colors while I’m getting my kitchen chores done. And the bouncing movements plus cross lateral movements she does while playing with the toys promotes physical development which in turn promotes cognitive development (when your child does cross lateral movements, they are forcing the two sides of their brains to communicate which is needed for learning). Another feature I like about this activity jumper is that the drum toy can detach and be played with when your child is sitting on the floor, so it’s like you get two toys in one.

Books: Of course, we can’t forget books. Our book collection is constantly growing. The flip flap books are some of the girls’ favorite books, so they love Circles & Squares book. It teaches about shapes and has thick flaps to grasp and lift (great for those fine motor skills!). The Say & Play Photobook is another really fun book because you can personalize it with your own pictures and voice recording.

If you have a little one, these are some of the best baby toys in my opinion and a total must, so I’v got a discount code for you…
