You see those three tall, skinny trees in the background to the right of me? Well, I didn’t notice them until I got home and they were sticking out the top of my head ( click here or follow me on Instagram-@kacieskloset to see). It looked like someone was giving me “the bunny ears” plus one extra ear in these photos. I decided to give it a positive spin and call it a crown, if crowns were made of trees instead of diamonds. I think is was just another sign that I should be a queen or a princess. The first sign being that I like castles and the second sign being that I was crowned the queen of hula hoop in second grand. So it’s settled, me and my tree crown are going to England and moving into Buckingham Palace.
I’m guest posting at Minted Glam today 🙂 Pop on over there to hear why it’s a miracle that my sister lets me borrow her clothes (like this skirt). Let’s just say me sister’s favorite top, ketchup, and bleach don’t mix.
One of the best things about owning a business is being able to give back. And that is why I am so excited to announce that Daisy Rae will hosting a fundraiser to benefit the most amazing daycare in the world, Our Little House. (read below for more info on Our Little House) Enter code: OLH at check out and Daisy Rae will donate 20% of the profit from your order to Our Little House!
As a daughter of an early childhood development teacher, I am well aware of the importance of early childhood education. Our Little House (OLH) is an non-profit daycare associated with Red Bluff High School. Meaning it is a daycare for the children of those employed by Red Bluff High School and other surrounding schools. I can tell you first hand what an amazing place it is because it is the daycare I went to as a child.
OLH’s philosophy is to help children become self confident, caring, and competent individuals. Their program is play oriented. At Our Little House, they believe “play is a child’s work” and that through play activities a child manipulates his/her environment, making decisions and discoveries, which enables him/her to make sense of his/her world.
The above statement doesn’t even begin to tell you what an amazing place OLH is. There is a special connection between all the OLH kids that is hard to describe. Every child that has gone through Our Little House has done well in school, continuing on to become a productive member of society. And many OLH kids, me included, often stop by Our Little House when in town just to say hi.
With all the budget cuts, OLH has not received the funding it needs. They can really use some help. That is why for the second year, Daisy Rae is donating 20% of the profit from October sales to OLH. How fun is it that you can shop while helping out an amazing daycare?!
To help out, just enter code: OLH at checkout and Daisy Rae will give 20% of the profit from your order to Our Little House. Thank you so much!

Fact: You can never have enough clothes or shoes. Am I right? Why yes, I am!
I have over thirty (or maybe closer to fifty) pairs of shoes but you know what kind I don’t have…basic black pumps. Crazy, I know! How can I not own a pair? Basic black pumps should be the first heels a gal owns. They are a closet staple for goodness sakes. The heels I’m wearing in this post are the closest thing I have but even they have gold studs on them. So I am declaring it my mission to find the perfect black pumps to add to my closet. (I also don’t have a lot of color in my footwear so I need to add some colorful shoes to my closet too). Wish me luck in my shoe shopping!
